The centre of Alcester is a compact market town with Roman origins, a conservation area and a mix of timber-framed, Georgian and Victorian buildings on and around the High Street and Henley Street. Roofs there are clay tile and slate on old timbers, and the work is careful: repairs to valleys, flashings and chimneys, tiles re-laid with new fixings, and a change of material checked with Stratford-on-Avon District Council before it is quoted.

Because we are only a short run from Redditch, a small repair here is worth doing, which is not true at the far edges of our area.

The estates around the town, Kinwarton, Arrow and the twentieth-century housing to the north and south, have conventional roofs: concrete tile on trussed rafters, fascias and soffits that have reached the end of their life, and garage flat roofs that were felted once and never again. Those get a straightforward survey, a fixed price, and a re-cover with a breathable membrane, new battens and a dry ridge when the roof genuinely needs it, or a repair when it does not.
